I love pizza as much as the next gal. Actually, there’s a good chance that I might love it more. Growing up, it was my favorite food, and quite frankly note much has changed. So when I found this little gem of a recipe, you can be sure that I made it just as soon as I could. Here’s what you need to make pull apart pizza bread:
2 cans of pizza dough or biscuits (I used biscuits this time, but will try pizza dough the next time I make it!)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 Tbs. Italian seasoning or parsley flakes
1/3 cup olive oil
8 oz. pepperoni (one package, you can use turkey pepperoni or regular)
1 cup parmesan cheese
Pizza sauce for dipping
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While oven preheats, cut dough or biscuits and the pepperoni into quarters. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and then add biscuits/dough and pepperoni, mixing well so that each piece is well coated.
- Place ingredients into a greased bunt pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. If you do not have a bunt pan, or if you simply prefer to use a 9×13, this works well too. Check that the dough has finished cooking before pulling it out of the oven.
- The best way to serve this pull-apart pizza bread is to flip it onto a plate while it is still hot. This way, you avoid having to dig out the bottom half of your serving. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
